IDF were delighted to receive the news this week that our former IDF President, Dr Jeremy Hill, Fonterra Chief Science and Technology Officer and Massey University Riddet Institute Adjunct Professor, has received the honour of being appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the dairy industry and scientific research in the Queen’s birthday honours list.

This prestigious honour was awarded in recognition for Dr Hill’s longstanding dedication to the dairy sector and scientific research. With a PhD in biochemistry, Dr Hill has published over 100 papers within the topic of medical research and dairy processing technology, as well as serving as IDF’s President and Chairman of the Board of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) between 2012-2016, when he co-signed the Dairy Declaration of Rotterdam with the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations recognising the critical role of dairy in sustainable development. He now serves as President of IDF New Zealand.

Jeremy, a former President of the IDF and a longstanding member of the IDF, has been a major contributor to the dairy sector for many years. Jeremy has always strived to ensure that good quality science is at the forefront of decisions on dairy.
