Access
Maastricht is on the A2/E9 highway, connected with the European highway network,
and is within easy reach of Amsterdam (200 km), Brussels (100 km), Bonn (120
km) and Paris (400 km). There are train connections from destinations such
as Amsterdam, Brussels, Aachen and more. From Amsterdam (Schiphol) there are
daily flights to Maastricht.

By Road
Maastricht is situated at the junction of the E25/A2 (Amsterdam-Liège) motorway and the A79 (Brussels-Cologne) motorway, and has good connections with all other European motorways. The conference venue (MECC) is located directly off the E25/A2 highway. Take the exit Randwijck/MECC/AZM and follow the signs to the parking area. Car Parking facilities are available at the MECC. Costs € 6,50 per ticket (prices 2004).
By Rail

Amsterdam airport has direct trains to Amsterdam Central Station. Maastricht
has two railway stations, Maastricht Central Station and Maastricht
Randwijck Station. From Amsterdam Central Station there is a direct
connection to Maastricht with trains leaving 28 and 58 minutes after
each hour from platform 2A. |
Thalys and Eurostar |
The Eurostar (TGV) from and to London will stop at Liège (Belgium). From Liège there is a direct train connection to Maastricht Central Station (travel time is approximately 30 minutes). For participants traveling from Paris you have to change trains in Brussels and Liège. |
Transportation during conference
Every three minutes buses arrive and depart from the MECC to the city centre and the Central Railway station. The following buses go directly from the railway station to the MECC: 1, 9, 56, 58 and 59. Every 15 minutes trains arrive and depart from Railway station Maastricht Randwyck (3 minutes walk from the MECC) to Maastricht Central Railway station. From Maastricht Airport as well as from the MECC all hotels can easily be reached by bus, taxi or car. With the IDF Mastitis Conference badge, public bus service is free of charge for the duration of the conference.

Car Parking facilities are available at the MECC.
