& Post conference tours |

The Organizing Committee is pleased to offer a choice of two post conference tours on Thursday, 16 June 2005. Each tour will visit two farms of interest to the dairy industry, with a break for lunch in between. There is a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 50 participants for each tour. The organizers will do their best to accommodate first choices but must reserve the right to combine parts of the tours or cancel, if necessary.
Post Conference Tour 1
Ecological Farm "Family Tomassen" Nederweert
Located in the center of a nature reserve, the farm was founded in 1963 and has 80 dairy cows on 55 ha of land. The farm is ecological, which means that no pesticides and artificial fertilizers are used. Preventitive treatment with anitbiotics is prohibited.
“Horse Milking Farm” Zeeland
On the farm, horses are milked several times a day. A video is shown to explain the process of horse milking. Visitors are able to view the horse milking procedure on the farm and are offered a taste of horse milk.

Post Conference Tour 2
Dairy Farm “Mark van Iersel” Nederweert
Mark van Iersel and family have 160 dairy cows. Since 1999 the cows are milked with 3 robots. They are kept indoors throughout the year and they are experimenting with different rubber covers for the slatted floors in de barn.
Family Farm "Anna Hoeve” Velden
As guests are welcomed in the reception room, they enjoy a beautiful view of the complete barn. The Anna Hoeve farm proudly shows visitors a modern dairy farm and strives to make a positive contribution to the image of the agricultural sector.

Cancellation and Refunds, Post Conference Tours
The Conference Managers must be notified in writing of cancellations on or before 15 April 2005. Payment will be refunded after the conference, minus an administration fee of €50,00. For cancellations made after 15 April 2005, no refunds can be made.
