IDF/ISO Analytical Week 20133 - 7 June 2013 Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The IDF/ISO Analytical Week is the annual topical event for experts in the field of standardization of methods of analysis and sampling for milk and milk products.
A half-day symposium will be organized during the week. This year's symposium will follow the theme of 'The role of Standardization', including case studies of trade issues. The symposium is embedded in a series of business meetings of ISO/IDF Project Groups and the six IDF Standing Committees in the field of analytical methods of sampling and analysis.

IDF is one of eight organizations involved with a satellite symposium entitled 'Maintaining Health with Nutrient Rich Diets: The role of dairy in prevention of metabolic syndrome, CVD, obesity and sarcopenia'. The symposium is taking place in conjunction with International Union of Nutritional Sciences 20th International Congress of Nutrition in Grenada, Spain from 15-20 September 2013.
The organizations involved with the symposium are: Dairy Australia, Dairy Council (UK), Dairy Research Institute (DRI), an organization established under the leadership of U.S. dairy farmers through Dairy Management Inc., Dutch Dairy Association (NZO), European Milk Forum (EMF), French Dairy Inter-branch Organization (CNIEL), Global Dairy Platform (GDP) and IDF. It is the first time that the dairy sector has seen such an extensive collaboration to promote the tangible nutritional benefits of dairy in such a way.

IDF/ISO Analytical Week 2014May 15-20 2014, Berlin, Germany
The IDF/ISO Analytical Week is the annual meeting point for Methods of Analysis and Sampling experts featuring a symposium, workshops, business meetings, a technical tour, and an exhibition of analytical providers.
The ICAR Biannual session will take place from 18 May - 23 May at the same venue. Both overlapping events offer a great possibility for fruitful exchange and mutual participation in meetings. In 2014, the symposium will be a joint ICAR/IDF/ISO event. The forseen topic for the symposium unites the communities of experts in a conjunct endeavor to set the scene for an analytical reference system, which will renew the approach for safeguarding analytical equivalence worldwide.
